At the Rican Veterinary Centre, located in Prosperidad, Madrid, we don’t just take care of your pet’s health during consultations. We also take care of their daily well-being, hygiene and comfort with complementary services such as specialised grooming and temporary boarding.
Dog and cat grooming
We offer a grooming service for dogs and cats, tailored to each type of coat, breed and individual need. We work by appointment to ensure a calm environment without unnecessary waiting.
We offer:
- Manual bathing with specific shampoos
- Brushing and detangling
- Haircuts using techniques tailored to the breed and the owner’s aesthetic preferences
- Stripping, scissor cuts, clip work
- Nail trimming
- Ear cleaning
- Anal gland expression
- Application of colognes, conditioners and relaxing massages
Our team is trained to handle animals that are fearful or sensitive to grooming, adapting each session to the patient’s character.
Temporary boarding
We offer boarding services for short stays for dogs, cats and also small exotic animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, birds and hamsters. A safe and supervised option if you need to be away for a few days and want to leave your pet in good hands.
During their stay, we guarantee:
- Clean, well-ventilated and safe accommodation
- Appropriate food (you can bring their usual food or use ours)
- Daily veterinary supervision
- Hygiene routine and playtime
We adapt to the specific needs of each species, with individual monitoring, and treat each patient as if they were at home.

We have our own operating theatre, inhalation anaesthesia, multi-parameter monitoring and all the necessary equipment to perform safe surgeries. From sterilisation and soft tissue surgery to more complex procedures, we apply rigorous protocols tailored to each case. Our priority is to minimise risks, relieve pain and ensure a quick recovery, with close monitoring before and after the procedure.

We offer digital radiology and ultrasound, key tools for achieving a rapid, accurate, and non-invasive diagnosis. These tests allow us to observe everything from fractures to internal abnormalities without the need for surgery. Diagnostic imaging complements our consultations and helps us make medical decisions with greater confidence, all without referrals and at the same centre

Our in-house laboratory is equipped with Idexx Catalyst One technology, which allows us to perform blood, urine, stool and specific tests with immediate results. This rapid diagnosis is key to making informed clinical decisions and detecting diseases in their early stages. It allows us to act without delay and personalise treatment from day one.

We offer dog and cat grooming, a shop specialising in nutrition and accessories, and temporary boarding for dogs, cats and exotic pets. Each service is designed to ensure that your pet is cared for, comfortable and safe, both in their daily life and in specific situations that require special attention.
Health plans
Health plans
Our health plans are designed to facilitate your pet’s medical care, with an affordable monthly fee. They include vaccinations, tests, worming, preventive visits and discounts on other services. They allow problems to be detected before they become serious and provide ongoing care, without cost being a barrier. Because prevention is also part of care.
All our consultations include a comprehensive examination, individual assessment and, where appropriate, planning of tests or treatments, always explained step by step.
VETERINARY CLAIMS
Modification of a rigid and ineffective prescription system. The use of most antibiotics requires culture, which is an added cost. Presvet bureaucracy.
Veterinarians must be able to dispense the complete and necessary treatments, no more and no less.
Animal health is not a luxury. No to 21% VAT.
The authorities must listen to veterinarians.
