An accurate diagnosis starts with a good image. At the Rican Veterinary Centre in Prosperidad, Madrid, we use modern technology to perform diagnostic imaging studies that allow us to accurately assess internal pathologies without invasive procedures.
Digital Radiology
Digital radiography is an essential tool for diagnosing bone, joint, chest, abdominal, or dental problems. It allows us to obtain high-definition images instantly and store them for future comparison.
We use Intech digital radiology equipment, which reduces radiation exposure and improves image quality. It is ideal for detecting fractures, dysplasia, foreign bodies, internal masses, heart disease and pulmonary or digestive disorders.
Abdominal Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a harmless, non-invasive technique that allows real-time examination of internal organs such as the liver, kidneys, spleen, bladder, uterus, and digestive tract. It helps us detect structural abnormalities, the presence of fluid, tumours, or inflammatory processes.
It is particularly useful in monitoring pregnancies, geriatric check-ups and the study of chronic abdominal pathologies.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
In cases where heart disease is suspected, we perform electrocardiograms to assess the electrical activity of the heart. These are used to detect arrhythmias, blockages or rhythm disturbances that may require treatment or follow-up.
Endoscopy, CT scans and magnetic resonance imaging
For cases requiring direct internal visualisation or more advanced studies, we offer a referral or accompaniment service to specialist centres where the following procedures are performed:
- Endoscopies (digestive, respiratory)
- CT scans (computed tomography)
- MRI scans (magnetic resonance imaging)
We take care of the management, transfer and coordination of the results with the specialised centre, so you don’t have to worry about anything.

Our in-house laboratory is equipped with Idexx Catalyst One technology, which allows us to perform blood, urine, stool and specific tests with immediate results. This rapid diagnosis is key to making informed clinical decisions and detecting diseases in their early stages. It allows us to act without delay and personalise treatment from day one.

We offer dog and cat grooming, a shop specialising in nutrition and accessories, and temporary boarding for dogs, cats and exotic pets. Each service is designed to ensure that your pet is cared for, comfortable and safe, both in their daily life and in specific situations that require special attention.

Our health plans are designed to facilitate your pet’s medical care, with an affordable monthly fee. They include vaccinations, tests, worming, preventive visits and discounts on other services. They allow problems to be detected before they become serious and provide ongoing care, without cost being a barrier. Because prevention is also part of care.
All our consultations include a comprehensive examination, individual assessment and, where appropriate, planning of tests or treatments, always explained step by step.
VETERINARY CLAIMS
Modification of a rigid and ineffective prescription system. The use of most antibiotics requires culture, which is an added cost. Presvet bureaucracy.
Veterinarians must be able to dispense the complete and necessary treatments, no more and no less.
Animal health is not a luxury. No to 21% VAT.
